All about ME!

I love making art out of unusual and recycled objects because I love helping people see things in a new. In my art and in my teaching, I love finding the potential that others might ignore. I want to show students that, with a little hard work and a lot of creativity,  anything is possible!  The posts on this site highlight some of the experiences that creativity and perseverance have made possible. The challenge was to make something out of materials that they had from old houses. The frame was a fireplace surround and the center of the flower is a glass lamp shade. The newspaper dress was for a Fashion Week contest sponsored by the Knoxville News Sentinel.  I chose the Tennessee Iris as my inspiration but also wanted to showcase the News Sentinel logo.
