All about ME!
I love making art out of unusual and recycled objects because I love helping people see things in a new. In my art and in my teaching, I love finding the potential that others might ignore. I want to show students that, with a little hard work and a lot of creativity, anything is possible! The challenge was to make something out of materials that they had from old houses. The frame was a fireplace surround and the center of the flower is a glass lamp shade. The newspaper dress was for a Fashion Week contest sponsored by the Knoxville News Sentinel. I chose the Tennessee Iris as my inspiration but also wanted to showcase the News Sentinel logo.
