My Student's Art at the White House!

I was notified in October that I had been selected as the art teacher who would have her students create ornament designs to hang on the Tennessee tree as part of the "America Celebrates" national holiday festivities.
Due to covid concerns, the ornaments were a little different this year.  Instead of receiving a limited number of 3D ornaments that only a select number of students would decorate, this year schools worked from a template and faxed their designs to DC.  The silver lining to the situation was that ALL of my eligible aged students were able to submit a design and the teachers at Beaumont got to vote for the ones that would represent our school and our state.
We had a little discussion about the theme of "Tennessee is Beautiful" and then the students got to work in any media that fit their design idea.  It was wonderful to see how excited they were and how unique and interesting the results were.  We are all so proud to have our BMA art displayed in Washington DC!
